Town News

Memorial Garage Elevator & Escalator Modernization Project

The Town of West Hartford is launching a comprehensive multi-year modernization project to upgrade elevators and escalators throughout our public parking facilities and pedestrian areas. This work will begin in December 2025 and continue in phases through 2027. These improvements will enhance safety, accessibility, reliability, and energy efficiency across the system.

2025 Grand List grows by $81.5 million, 1.1%

The Town of West Hartford’s Assessment Department finalized the 2025 Grand List of taxable and exempt property effective October 1, 2024, per Connecticut General Statutes on January 31, 2026. The 2025 Grand List reflects all changes in ownership and valuation for each property class.

The total net assessed value of all taxable property, before the Board of Assessment Appeal actions, is $7,370,255,222, representing an increase in the net taxable list of $81,598,135 or 1.1% over the prior year.
