Park Road I-84 Project

What's New

Over the next several weeks the contractor will be installing new traffic signal equipment and electrical conduit at the intersection of Park Road and Trout Brook Drive. Traffic impacts will involve short term lane closures and some turning movements may be prohibited at certain times. The contractor will also be working on the north side of Park Road directly across from the new off ramp. They will be removing the old brick wall, constructing a new stone ‘Welcome’ wall to better align with the new off-ramp, installing concrete sidewalk, and setting granite curbing. Motorists are urged to avoid the project area and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Interchange 41 (South Main Street), 42 (Trout Brook Drive), and 44 (Prospect Avenue/Kane Street) are suggested alternatives.

Final paving of the on and off ramps is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, June 2nd beginning at 8PM and continuing until Monday, June 3rd at 5AM. In order to facilitate this work the eastbound and westbound exit 43 off-ramps will be closed to all traffic along with the Park Road on-ramp. Signed detours will be in place to direct traffic around the work zone. In the event of rain, the paving will be re-scheduled to the following night.
