The Event Coordinator works closely with the Events & Facility Manager who manages the West Hartford Conference Center (WHCC - Auditorium). Many different types of events are held at the WHCC (weddings, receptions, fundraisers, dances, conferences etc.)
The Event Coordinator arrives 15 minutes before the rental begins and opens all doors, turns on lights and makes sure the sound system is turned on if applicable. They are present for the entire length of the event supporting the client to ensure their event is a huge success!
Successful coordinators are people-oriented individuals, they present a professional image and represent the Department and the Town of West Hartford in a professional manner. The Event Coordinator will enjoy and interact well with people of diverse races and cultures. They are able to work flexible hours, to include weekends and some late evenings.
