University of Connecticut West Hartford Campus

Community Visioning Process

 

The Town of West Hartford completed a community visioning process that focused on the future of University of Connecticut’s West Hartford Campus. 

  

This process allowed the Town to understand community sentiment regarding potential future uses of the UConn campus, assess potential opportunities, and identify community concerns. Our public engagement efforts included:

• Online Survey (Closed. Thank you to the more than 2700 people that participated!)
• Public Forums (See events calendar below. Thank you to the nearly 300 people that attended the 2/28 forums)
• Submission of written comments

  

Based on the results of this participatory engagement process, the Town Council adopted a Community Vision for the property, which will assist UConn with its marketing of the property and recruitment of future development partners.  A copy of the community engagement report and Vision Statement for the property is listed below:
