Notary Public

Notary public services are available in the Council Clerk's Office during regular business hours. You must make a personal appearance when signing a document and bring along two forms of identification.  One form of identification much have a photo, such as a driver's license and the other only needs to have your signature.  Neither a social security card nor a birth certificate is to be used as a form of identification.

Notary fee for documents is $5.00 per signature.

Renewal certificates for notaries residing in West Hartford must be brought into our office personally and registered with us. There is a $10.00 registration fee. (July 1st new fee $20.00)

If you need to verify that a notary is registered with the Town of West Hartford, certificates of verification are available for $2.00. (July 1st new fee $5.00)
