
Veterans Affairs
The West Hartford Commission on Veterans’ Affairs is dedicated to supporting veterans’ access to all benefits and services to which the veterans or their dependents may be entitled, including education, vocational training, rehabilitation and adjustment to peacetime living. To achieve these goals, the Commission shall cooperate with all governmental and private agencies and shall coordinate with veterans organizations.
The Commission shall advise the Town Council and the Town Manager on matters of concern to veterans and their families. The Commission is composed of nine members each of whom serve a three year term. Records of activities and meetings will be maintained and an annual report will be made to the Town Council. There are four scheduled meetings of the Commission per year on the second Tuesday of March, June, September and December at 7:00 PM in Room 407 in Town Hall. The public is welcome.
