Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Camp is for energetic and motivated teenagers who want to learn and develop leadership skills while working with children in a day camp setting. CIT's will develop leadership skills through direct supervision, regular trainings with the instructor, and hands-on experience engaging with campers in our many different day camps. CIT's will spend half the day working in our camps and the other half of the day will be spent skill building, group work and fun camp activities, including crafts, baking, and swimming at Beachland Park Pool. The goals of this program are to provide teens with training and skills to become effective leaders, improve self-confidence, learn public speaking skills in a group setting, and offer a meaningful opportunity to assist children in a camp environment. This program prepares teens for future work experience, motivates them to be effective role models resulting in a fun and productive summer and allows them to select the specialty camps they want to participate in, and is a great resume builder! Interested candidates will need to complete an application and attend an in person interview. Please call our office to attain an application. Spaces limited.
Withdrawal request must be made in writing and received no later than three business days before the first day of the program. A 10% processing fee will be deducted from all refunds (minimum $5).
