All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Donít let the cold weather stop your fishing fun, learn to ice fish. Families and individuals age eight and up are welcome to attend this unique program that is part of the CT DEEPís CARE (Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education) program. Subjects covered in class include: proper clothing and safety gear, along with ice fishing equipment, tackle and bait. The class is taught by certified volunteer instructors and CARE staff. All graduates will be invited to attend a CARE sponsored ice fishing event after completion of the course. This program is sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Fisheries Division, so itís FREE to participants, but pre-registration is required.
