    552935 - CHAIR YOGA

    A yoga practice modified so that postures and movements can be done seated in a chair. Many of the basic body positions of the yoga poses are similar, but without having to get down or back up from the floor. While seated on chairs, students can do versions of twists, hip stretches, forward bends and mild backbends. Additionally, some standing and balancing postures can be done using the chair for support. In addition to a good stretch, chair yoga participants can also enjoy other health benefits of yoga, including improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, stress reduction, better sleep and a sense of well-being. Virtually everyone can do and receive benefits from chair yoga! Instructor: Jill Hebert
