    Developed over 30 years, this is the number one soccer camp for parents looking to introduce their children to the fundamentals of the world's most popular sport. Using the "progressional" curriculum, our sport-specific staff will ensure that each young athlete gains the technical skills and sport knowledge required for his/her next step into soccer. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. By the end of the camp each child will have learned new life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship, made new friends, and improved his or her sport skills. Please wear or bring appropriate clothing, sneakers and a water bottle. Shin guards and indoor sneakers are encouraged, but not required. All participants will also receive a t-shirt, soccer ball and player evaluation.

    351510 - ECC COUNSELOR IN TRAINING

    If you are interested in becoming a CIT this summer, please call the main office (860-561-8160) or register online. Spaces are limited. Candidates who are enrolled will recieve an application form in mid-March to complete and return in person. Once the application is recieved, the applicants will be called to schedule an interview.
    Please note: If you are not selected for the program a full refund will be provided.

    Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Camp is for energetic and motivated teenagers who want to learn and develop leadership skills while working with children in a day camp setting. CIT's will develop leadership skills through direct supervision, regular trainings with the instructor, and hands-on experience engaging with campers in our many different day camps. CIT's will spend half the day working in our camps and the other half of the day will be spent skill building, group work and fun camp activities, including crafts, baking, and swimming at Beachland Park Pool. The goals of this program are to provide teens with training and skills to become effective leaders, improve self-confidence, learn public speaking skills in a group setting, and offer a meaningful opportunity to assist children in a camp environment. This program prepares teens for future work experience, motivates them to be effective role models resulting in a fun and productive summer and allows them to select the specialty camps they want to participate in, and is a great resume builder!

    351654 - ECC FENCING CAMP

    This program is open to boys and girls, beginner to intermediate level fencers. The program will teach the basic fencing fundamentals, develop proper technique and bouting experience. Every aspect of fencing is covered, developing a solid skill foundation to build on after camp. On the first day safety rules regarding the proper use of the fencing weapon (foil) and protective gear are introduced; Students are quizzed on safety and rules each day. A tournament is held on the last day of camp where parents and visitors are encouraged to attend.

    352241 - ROUND-ROBIN TABLE TENNIS

    This Round-Robin Table Tennis program is designed for intermediate to advanced players seeking to play competitive round-robin games in a casual setting. On the first session, players will play as many opponents as possible in a round-robin format (best of 3 up to 21 points). Scores will be recorded and an initial ladder will be published for the next session. Players will then be grouped among the 3 tables based on the ladder (table 1 lower, table 2 middle, and table 3 top). Players will play round-robin at their table until done. Players finishing at the top/bottom of their table's ladder will move up/down to the next table. The ladder will be updated with players switching positions based on winning/losing a match. The last session will be for the final placement. Participants must be present for at least 4 sessions to be eligible for final placement standing. This is not intended to be an instructional program, however tips, suggestions, and help withe rules will be provided. You will need to bring your paddle and water bottle, balls will be provided.
