There are no requirements other than enjoying music and wanting to have fune Zumba gold is done at a lower intensity than Zumba, not quite as fast, but is certaininly as much fun. The great fusions of Latin and International music and dance themes are used: Merengue, Salsa, Cha, Cumbia and Belly Dance. A typical class will consist of a warm-up session, the main routine, and a cool down. This workout is great for the mind, body and soul!     KIDSMARATHON is an 8-10 week training program that enables kids to complete a full marathon by running incremental distances each week leading up to the finish in front of hundreds of fans at regional celebration sites at the end of the school year. Kids record their distances on a Personalized guide sheet. Olympic Medalist and New York City Marathon winner Rod Dixon is the founder of KIDSMARATHON. Dixon has implemented the popular program in several states and as far across the globe as New Zealand. During the project, elementary students develop life-long fitness skills, social-emotional learning, a feeling of accomplishment and self-confidence. The mantra of the program is “Finishing is winning – winning is finishing”.

    Bring sneakers, socks, t-shirt, shorts or sweatpants and a water bottle with the student's name on it.

    We are excited to announce our new partnership with West Hartford Leisure Services. This partnership will allow our after school running club for Grades 1 - 5 to be more sustainable for the future! Both the spring and fall seasons of 2016 were hugely successful, attracting well over 100 enthusiastic runners who committed to the twice weekly, 7 week season. Our culminating goal is the Celebrate! West Hartford 5K or kids 1/2 mile run on Sunday, June 11th. This program will promote goal setting and goal achievement, foster high self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-discipline.
    We guarantee 11 of the 13 practices, if we miss more than three due to inclement weather, we will announce make-up days. Practices will be cancelled due to inclement weather. All cancellations will be sent via email by noon that day. No busing after this program. Parent/guardian will be responsible for pick-up.

    Looking to get back into field hockey? If you're 30 and over, here's your chance. We will host one game each Sunday from 7:45-8:45 am at Conard High School. Dates include March 19, 26, April 2, 9, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18 and 25. Come out for a fun game experience. Equipment needed: stick, shin guards, mouth guard, water bottle.
