Survey seeks feedback for POCD

The Town of West Hartford seeks community feedback as a critical element to the process of updating its ten-year Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).

The POCD is a road map for the future of the community. It identifies a long-term vision, goals, strategies and action steps necessary to support the Town’s vision and goals. The plan covers areas such as economic development, housing, transportation, infrastructure, open space, sustainability, environment, and Town services.

Kevin Ahern, Town Plan and Zoning Chair, explains: “the Town Plan and Zoning Commission wants to hear from residents and taxpayers on their vision for the future of West Hartford. The success of the POCD depends on robust community engagement and feedback; as such we hope people will take the time to complete the survey as well as consider attending the workshop”

A community survey is found on the project website: www.planwesthartford.com.

You are invited to hear the results of the survey at a Community Workshop to be held on Tuesday, October 30th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Town Hall Auditorium, 50 South Main Street.
