The Memorial Day Parade follows a tradition established by returning West Hartford veterans from World War I in the 1920s. The parade is held each year on the national holiday, the last Monday of May, at 10:00 AM. The Park Road Parade is zany, unique, and most of all, a celebration of all that is good in West Hartford and beyond.We want you to be a part of it! The parade is held each year on held on the first Saturday of October at 10:30 AM. Bring the whole family to this wonderful parade that features clowns, a stilt walker, bands, floats, dancers, antique cars, dogs of all sizes, mascots, businesses, civic and cultural organizations, local celebrities, and town officials.
The Halloween Stroll is held annually on the Saturday before Halloween. Children of all ages dressed in Halloween costumes are invited to trick-or-treat at participating merchants in West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square beginning at 10:30 AM.
