Area 4 - North Main Street

Area 4 – North Main Street overall drainage improvements map.  The total cost to replace all recommended storm drainage to improve flooding impacts is $47.6 Million.

The phase 1 project for this area shown in orange on the map is to install a new 60-inch diameter pipe from Trout Brook, along Loomis Drive to South Main Street and then replace the existing storm pipe on South Main Street to Whitman Avenue, and on Whitman Avenue to the intersection of Arundel Avenue with a 54-inch diameter pipe.  Reducing the size of this project will provide very limited benefit to neighborhood.  This phase 1 project is in preliminary design and the construction cost is $17.5 Million.  Once funding is available for this project, the schedule will be determined.
