West Hartford Center Infrastructure
ROADWAY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Roadway Reconstruction Project
The Town will be revitalizing the aging infrastructure in West Hartford Center through a comprehensive reconstruction of LaSalle Road from Farmington Avenue to Ellsworth Road and Farmington Avenue from North/South Main Street to Walden Street. The work will include roadway resurfacing, new granite curbing, widened concrete sidewalks, decorative street lighting, traffic signal modifications, landscaping with engineered tree pits, raised crosswalks, and site furniture/amenities. The project is expected to take two construction seasons with anticipated completion by November 20, 2026.
INFRASTRUCTURE MASTER PLAN
Infrastructure Master Plan
The Town of West Hartford is developing a comprehensive Infrastructure Master Plan for West Hartford Center. In order to maintain the continued growth and transformation of West Hartford Center, an evaluation of the existing street infrastructure is necessary to ensure the Center remains a leading destination for residents, visitors, and businesses. Such an evaluation examines elements including: traffic lanes, sidewalk widths, bus stop accommodations, and landscaping. Design elements from the Center Master Plan will also be applied to other neighborhoods across town.
