Construction Updates

Construction on LaSalle Road is expected to begin late March 2025.

The reconstruction of LaSalle Road and Farmington Avenue will be phased to minimize disruptions to the businesses and the general public.  Each phase will include a work area approximately 300-400 feet in length and will be limited to one side of the street.  A maximum of two work areas will be active at any time. Construction work schedules will be coordinated closely with the Town and businesses.  The reconstruction of LaSalle Road is expected to be complete in 2025. Work on Farmington Avenue is expected to be completed in 2026, but will not begin until LaSalle Road is substantially complete.  No work will be permitted during the period of November 22, 2025 to January 4, 2026.

The construction contract has been awarded to Gerber Construction, Inc. with a contract value of $9,547,008.25.  M&J Engineering will be performing Construction Management, Inspection, and Public Outreach services on this project.   American Rescue Plan Act funds will be used for the construction of this project.

A Stakeholder Meeting was held on March 19, 2025. This provided an opportunity for business owners, property managers, and other interested parties directly affected by the construction to learn more about the schedule, coordinate logistics, and meet the construction project team.

A Public Hearing was held on March 19, 2025 regarding the removal of the trees along LaSalle Road. Following the hearing, the Town's Tree Warden issued their decision
