Construction Updates
The reconstruction of LaSalle Road began in March and is expected to be completed by November 2025. Construction will be phased to minimize disruptions to the businesses and the general public. Each phase will include two work areas, each approximately 400 feet in length and on different sides of the street. Construction work schedules will be coordinated closely with the Town and businesses. Work on Farmington Avenue will begin in the spring of 2026 and should be completed by November 2026. No work will be permitted during the busy holiday season from November 22, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
The construction contract has been awarded to Gerber Construction, Inc. with a contract value of $9,547,008.25. M&J Engineering will be performing Construction Management, Inspection, and Public Outreach services on this project. American Rescue Plan Act funds will be used for the construction of this project.
Key Dates
- March 19, 2025 - Stakeholder Meeting
- March 31, 2025 – Start of Construction
- June 11, 2025 - Begin transition from Phase 1A & 1B to Phase 2 A & 2B
- November 22, 2025 - Winter shutdown begins (no construction)
- January 4, 2026 - Construction resumes
- November 20, 2026 - Tentative completion of construction
