Fairview Cemetery

Fairview Cemetery is West Hartford’s largest public cemetery and one of the town’s most significant historic landmarks. Established in 1894, the 71-acre cemetery was designed in the picturesque “lawn plan” style, featuring open green spaces, mature trees, and thoughtfully placed memorials, creating a peaceful, park-like setting. Fairview Cemetery serves as the final resting place for many notable residents, including political leaders, military veterans, artists, and community figures, reflecting the rich history and heritage of West Hartford. Its historic Gothic Revival chapel and beautifully maintained grounds make it both a place of remembrance and a valuable cultural resource for the community.

Fairview Cemetery is located at 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford, CT. 06107. The office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. You may contact the office by calling 860-561-8136 or emailing fairviewcemetery@westhartfordct.gov.
