Celebrate! West Hartford is a self-sustaining, community-themed, family-oriented event that provides the opportunity for all members of the community to join together to “celebrate” the quality of life in West Hartford. The primary purpose of the non-commercial event is to encourage civic engagement and community spirit.

Since its inception in 1987, the event operates under the direction of a Volunteer Committee and is facilitated by two paid staff members of the Town’s Leisure Services Department. The committee receives significant support from various Town departments including the Department of Public Works, Plant & Facilities Services, Leisure Services, Information Technology and the Police and Fire Departments.
