The Celebrate! West Hartford FUNd RUNS are the most family-friendly fitness fun in the region! Held in conjunction with the Town's two-day outdoor festival, the Celebrate! West Hartford FUNd RUNS have something for ages 3-83+. It's a great opportunity for the whole family to participate in while supporting West Hartford families in need. A portion of proceeds is donated to the Leisure Services Scholarship fund which helps children from low-income families to attend swimming lessons, camps during school vacations and other life-enhancing programs.
5K COURSE: The 5K scenic course begins on Raymond Road, winds through the Webster Hill neighborhood and ends with a downhill finish on Burr Street near West Hartford Town Hall. The 5K course is USATF certified to be accurately measured and is #CT19009JHP. Click here for 5K map.
KIDS' K Course: The Kids’ K is a non-timed 1K (.62 mile) dash. The course is 1 ¾ loops around Blue Back Square. Registered participants 10 and under will receive a medal. Click here for the Kids' K map.
REGISTRATION & CHECK-IN: Sunday, June 11, 2023, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Town Hall Parking Lot, 50 South Main Street, West Hartford.
FREE PARKING: FREE race-day parking is available in Isham Garage, 17 Isham Road, West Hartford (enter on New Street). Please allow plenty of time as there will be road closures during the Kids’ K.
FEES: (non-refundable)
5K: $30 per runner through May 31st;
$35 for registrations received after June 1st through Race Day.
Kids' K: $5 per child (10 & under).
PACKAGE PICK UP: Friday, June 9, 2023, 3 – 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 10, 2023, 9 a.m. – Noon at Fleet Feet, 1003 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Race registration will also be available.
FREE t-shirts guaranteed to runners registered by May 31st: Designed each year by a West Hartford Public School student, Celebrate! West Hartford T-shirts have become collector's items. Graphic design students compete in a contest to have their concept printed on the front of a moisture-wicking lightweight short-sleeve shirt designed for working out. Choose men's or women's cut styles in a wide-range of sizes. Registrants who register by May 31st are guaranteed to get a shirt. A limited number of additional shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Awards Ceremony. After May 31st, availability and sizes not guaranteed.
POST RACE RECEPTION & AWARDS: Join us in the Town Hall Parking Lot (50 South Main Street) for the 5K Race Reception & Awards Ceremony under the festival Dining Tent beginning approximately a half hour after the end of the race.
Known for great prizes, gift certificates worth $30, $25 and $20 are awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers in ten age categories: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+.
- Sherman Malley Memorial Trophy awarded to 1st place male overall.
- Prizes valued at $100 or more to 1st place overall female and male runners and 1st place West Hartford female and male runners.
- Fleet Feet Trophy awarded to 1st place female overall.
- Don Lloyd Trophy awarded to 1st place ages 65+.
RANDOM DRAWINGS: All registrants eligible! (only one award per person and must be present.) Ten gift certificates valued at $25 or more.
