If you aren’t sure what programs you’re interested in, you can either browse our brochure on our Leisure Services website or review program information online on our RecDesk website. To register, please create a household account on RecDesk, then find the program offering and select the green “register” button.

For single day camp absences, generally no refund is available. For more serious medical reasons, please see our page on refunds or cancellations.

To cancel or transfer a registration, please reach out to Leisure Services at leisureservices@westhartfordct.gov or 860-561-7510.

Each summer camp location has an alternate indoor location in the case of bad weather.

Information for Camp Funtastic is sent via email, once program registration closes. Please make sure your RecDesk account contact information is up to date to ensure you don’t miss any communications from staff.

There are various reasons that this may not be working. Common reasons include the child’s grade listed is incorrect, the program age restrictions do not cover the exact age of the child, or registration for that program is not currently open. To adjust a child’s grade, or for assistance in registering, please send an email to leisureservices@westhartfordct.gov or call 860-561-7510.

For difficulties with your username, please contact the Leisure Services department at leisureservices@westhartfordct.gov or 860-561-7510.

Most commonly, this occurs when a Cornerstone RecDesk account has been created but not a general Leisure Services RecDesk account. Cornerstone’s RecDesk system is separate from the Leisure Services RecDesk, where you sign up for summer camps and other programs. If you aren’t able to create a LS RecDesk account, please contact the Leisure Services department at 860-561-7510 for assistance.

Yes, dogs are allowed in West Hartford parks (with the exception of Westmoor Park) provided they are on a leash no longer than six feet.

We have outdoor pickleball courts available at Buena Vista and Wolcott park. At Buena Vista, there are six pickleball courts and two tennis/pickleball courts. At Wolcott Park, there are six pickleball courts. We also have two tennis courts available for pickleball at Whiting Lane Elementary School which may be used outside of school hours

All of our pickleball courts are first-come, first serve. Leisure Services reserves the right to schedule programs on public courts.

Yes, birthday parties are allowed. For events with more than 20 guests, please complete a Park Permit and someone from the Leisure Services department will reach out to you soon.

Wolcott, Fernridge, Kennedy, and Eisenhower all have bathrooms that are unlocked during the summer pool season. Portable restrooms are available Memorial Day through late June and late August through Columbus Day.
