Amenities
Wolcott Park is a great place to enjoy nature or engage in outdoor recreation. Wolcott Park has a youth soccer field, youth baseball field, tennis and pickleball courts, a splash pad, and a playscape. There is also a small pond, home to a variety of plant and animal species. Adjoining the park is Wolcott Elementary School, which uses the Outdoor Classroom, located in the wooded area between the elementary school and the pond.
Operating hours
Wolcott Park is open from 30 minutes before dawn to 30 minutes after dusk. Pickleball and tennis courts are lit year-round. From Thanksgiving to March 31, court lights are on until 8:00pm, and from April 1 to the day before Thanksgiving, court lights are on until 10:00pm. The splash pad is open from mid-May to early September.
How to get here
Wolcott Park is located just minutes off Exit 40 from I-84. The park can be accessed from Chatfield Drive or Wolcott Road. Please note, the eastern parking lot (near the tennis/pickleball courts) will be renovated beginning in early 2026. The nearest bus route(s) are Bus 39, 128 & 64 which run along New Britain Avenue.
