Veterans Memorial Skating Rink will be closed for large-scale renovations beginning March 30th, with a planned reopening on September 8th, 2026. Please check back for updates. If you have any questions, please call us at 860-561-8290.
Veterans Memorial Skating Rink is a newly renovated, modern, climate-controlled facility featuring an NHL-sized 200' x 85' ice surface, enhanced lighting and sound, a café, and a pro shop. Open year-round, the rink offers public skating, Learn-to-Skate programs, private lessons, hockey and figure skating camps, leagues, advanced sessions, ice rentals, and party room rentals for groups and birthdays. VMSR also provides discounted admission, fundraising opportunities, and ongoing support for local school and youth hockey programs.
