We are looking for volunteers from all ages and levels of experience. Projects include planting, maintaining, and harvesting organically grown vegetables which are then donated to local shelters. Regular volunteer days are scheduled for Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 am - Noon and on the first Saturday of each month May through October.   Volunteer groups are also needed for a variety of projects around the park, ranging from conservation projects, to flower garden and trail maintenance.

Eagle Scout Projects at Westmoor Park

The staff at Westmoor Park can work with your Eagle Scout candidate to identify and plan a project that will benefit Westmoor Park, or perhaps another park in West Hartford in order to complete the requirements for an Eagle Scout Award.  A few of the projects recently completed or in progress include: Trail Marking and clearing, Planting a new garden, Weather proofing/Staining a new foot bridge in Wolcott Park, Building a Garden Arbor, Building a Cold Frame, Building and installing Bird houses.
