Westmoor 4-H Club

The Westmoor 4-H Club at Westmoor Park is a UCONN 4-H Club, active in the Hartford County community for many years, involving youth from in and around West Hartford.  Led by adult volunteers and Westmoor Park staff, club members from age 9 to 18, learn how to care for many different types of farm animals, which they have the opportunity to exhibit each summer at the annual Hartford County 4-H Fair.  Club members may also focus on projects such as photography, sewing, or gardening for the Fair. Our club has been successful competing at other local Connecticut fairs as well.   They are a close-knit, responsible, fun group of young people.

The club is only open for new membership in the fall, and space is limited.   Children must be at least 9 years old to join.  During the school year, the club meets on a rotating schedule of Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-4:00 PM.  Interested families may call the park office in late August for details and information about the new member's meeting for parents and potential members.

Our Club participates in the annual Hartford County 4-H Fair.  It is in mid-August at the Four Town Fair grounds in Somers, CT.
