104 employees reach Milestone Anniversaries in 2025

The Town of West Hartford recognized 104 employees who reached milestone anniversaries in 2024. Employees were celebrated for their 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 45 years of service. Congratulations to all!

Let's Talk Bears: Community Meeting on December 16th

The Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) will hold a community listening meeting on bear management on Tuesday, December 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration is required to save a seat.

Memorial Garage Elevator & Escalator Modernization Project begins December 1

The Town of West Hartford is launching a comprehensive multi-year modernization project to upgrade elevators and escalators throughout our public parking facilities and pedestrian areas. This work will begin in December 2025 and continue in phases through 2027. These improvements will enhance safety, accessibility, reliability, and energy efficiency across the system.

 Snow and Ice Control on New Sidewalks on LaSalle Rd.

As winter begins, the Town of West Hartford wants to share important guidance about snow and ice removal on the new sidewalks in the Center. These sidewalks are a significant investment in our community, and their longevity depends on proper care during winter weather. 

The State awards West Hartford a Community Connectivity Grant

Governor Ned Lamont and Connecticut Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto announced on November 17, 2025, that the State of Connecticut is awarding nearly $12 million in grants to 17 towns and cities for projects that will improve transportation safety and mobility.  West Hartford will receive a $384,552 grant to construct a bicycle connector from West Hartford Center to the Trout Brook Trail.

Congratulations to our new CERT graduates!

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, twenty-four residents graduated from the West Hartford Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training program. Congratulations!
