Christmas Tree Collection
The annual Christmas tree collection program by the Paine's will begin on Monday, January 2nd and run through Friday, January 12th, 2024.
Crews will begin in the Monday trash collection area and continue into the Tuesday area, and so on. They will make two complete sweeps through town during the two-week period. Residents are encouraged to put their trees at the curb (not in the street) on any day during the first week of collection to ensure pick-up. Crew may get ahead of schedule, weather permitting, and move into the next collection area.
During the final week of collection, January 9-January 13, trees must be at the curb by 6AM on your designated trash day. Drivers cannot return for trees put out after your trash day.
Trees are recycled into wood chips so remove all decorations and lights. (No artificial trees. No bags!)
Please help us during snowstorms by removing trees from the side of the road. Crews cannot dig out trees buried under snow.
Residents also have the option of bringing their trees to the town’s Recycling Center at 25 Brixton Center, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-3:00PM. (Please note, there are no weekend January through March.) An annual permit is required for drop off.
If you have any questions, please call the Department of Public Works at 561-8100.
