Bulky Waste Permit

The Town of West Hartford Department of Public Works is announcing a change to the Town’s curbside bulky or oversized waste collection program.

Effective October 1st, 2026, property owners who need to dispose of bulky or oversized waste items will arrange collection directly with All American Waste, the Town’s residential waste and recycling service provider.

Under this new service model, the Town will no longer issue bulky waste permits. The change is intended to streamline service delivery by eliminating the need for property owners to contact the Town for a permit and then contact the service provider to schedule the collection.

Property owners should contact AAW directly to initiate a request, schedule the collection, and address applicable fees. Collection and disposal fees will be based on the specific item(s) earmarked for pick-up and disposal, as listed in the AAW Bulky Waste Collection menu.
