Grocery Shopping - Volunteer shoppers make weekly grocery runs for homebound elders and disabled residents.
Medical Escort Transportation - Volunteers drive seniors who do not have adequate alternative transportation to local routine medical appointments.
Friendly Visitor - Volunteers provide elderly residents with friendship, socialization, and support through regular visits to their homes.
Telephone Reassurance - From home or in our office, volunteers make weekly phone calls to homebound elders to alleviate isolation and loneliness.
Tutoring - Help children in grades K-8 after school in the homework center, or work 1-on-1 with adults at the Hillcrest Area Neighborhood Outreach Center.
West Hartford's Food Pantry - Help sort, date check, and shelve donated food that benefits the town's food pantry. Organize food drives to benefit the pantry.
